As we announced in March, there will be three benefit plans to choose from– all with exciting games to play. It’s almost here! Our new PlayStation Plus service is launching soon, and we are pleased to share with you an early look at some of the games* that will be included during the launch time frame. *shrugs* I'd say the game screen should be the default, but I'm still not convinced any home screen would be necessary.ġ0] Both would be there, I just didn't choose to mockup the mini menu since as it is now is fine.ġ1] And what is "hmm" supposed to signify?Īll-new PlayStation Plus game lineup: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Demon’s Souls, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, NBA 2K22, and more join the service When you launch the console you'd know what you want where it be media apps or gaming apps etc. It's not that deep.ģ] Pressing Options would bring up some customisable options.Ĥ] Or make the avatar selectable and function as a way to change profiles, so it could be moved to the top centre navigation.ĩ] I wouldn't want a home screen if it would function as a cluster of **** from here there and everywhere. Most popular, recently used things.ġ] Meh, it could be anywhere. Hence a home screen is important.ĩ] Above. And a few of those could be combined.ģ] Your UI needs to provide a mechanism to do that.Ĥ] I would place that under either settings, or just under the avatar.Ħ] The trophies have always been the most confusing.Ĩ] Gaming, but I'd argue the most important aspect of the UI is to display first what the user was doing before. I wouldn't put system administration stuff first. You've undoubtedly thought about those groupings so ordering does matter. It would just give you Trending/currently streaming/DLC info/link to the store page.ġ] Because the ability to turn the console on and off is not the most important thing, and usually comes at the end of a list.Ģ] I disagree, you have 3 menu tiles system administration things first, followed by gaming, then media, then social. ![]() The mini menu when pressing the PS button would still exist. What would even need to be on such a "home/start" screen? Games, so it could start on that's screen first, which is why I chose it as the demonstration screen. You could presumably reorder them how you like, but by default the latest played would be top left. I guess the designer of the PS4 UI should be asked the same question.Second in the list is user accounts/management.You get straight back into the game you're currently playing.1] Why is the on/off right at the start of the list?ģ] What happens if you want to get straight back into a game you are currently playing?Ĥ] Why are there two avatar tiles (top left and second in the list)? Why is the avatar option second in the list?Ħ] Would I keep on having to scroll down a massive library of games every time?Ĩ] What is the most important aspect of this UI (i.e, what would gamers want to see first)?ġ0] Does the entire games library replace the current quick select?ġ1] I'm assuming explore would take me to a "new page" for that particular game.Ī lot more thought goes into the UI then you think and I don't even think the current UI is perfect by any means?
